NY GIANTS FIND SPEED AT THE WIDE RECEIVER POSITION

With another trade from general manager Joe Schoen the NY Giants found a playmaker for the reciever position with their third round pick. Tennesse star wide receiver Jalin Hyatt become the newest NY Giant as the 73rd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

At 6’0 176 pounds´╗┐ Hyatt is not the biggest and do not expect him to win a ton of contested battles or 50/50 balls. What the NY Giants got with this pick is a gamebreaker with top end speed that will press defenses into making sure they drop someone or he will by everyone in a flash. A 40″ vertical and 11’3 broad jump Hyatt has unltimate athleticism.
Breaking out as a junior at Tennessee, Hyatt was fifth nationally with 1,267 receiving yards and second in the nation with 15 touchdowns. Hyatt is long and when he runs he glides, when you think he isn’t fast there is an explosion of gears and he has easy seperation. He did run a very limited route tree in college, but showed impressive routes to the Dallas Cowboy rep at the combine that said he was nothing but speed. ´╗┐
